Elate Release Notes - December 2024

New Features

  • A border has been added to all instances of the date range button to be easily recognised as a clickable item. Also date format changed to UK date format. Day and Month.
  • You can now associate overtime with a support recipient for more precise tracking and reporting. The Add/Edit Overtime form includes a new Support Recipient field, allowing you to link overtime to specific clients. Associated overtime is displayed on event cards in the calendar, included in CSV downloads, and visible on both the Support Recipient and Team Member calendars.
  • The Team Member profile view now displays additional fields for a more detailed overview, including DBS Check details, Health Information (NHS Number, GP details, Allergies, Medical Conditions, Vaccination History), Key Contacts, and Additional Information (Languages Spoken, Driver’s Licence, Immigration Status, and Uniform Details).
  • Support activity details have been improved for better clarity and usability, including the removal of the assigned team member’s address, a new Checkout button in Elate green, repositioning of the support recipient above the carer, the addition of a priority level pill for support plans, and a read-only summary for completed activities with an edit option.
  • A new "Miscellaneous" support type has been added to allow for tasks that fall outside predefined categories. This update includes six miscellaneous tasks under this support type.
  • A new "Independence Training" support type has been added to better support enabling service providers. This includes task options to Encourage, Support, Prompt, and Remind individuals, ensuring more accurate and tailored support planning.
  • The "Always Resuscitate" option in the Support Recipient profile is now highlighted in green on the profile view page, ensuring it stands out just as clearly as the "DNR" option, which is displayed in red.
  • A new Account Status dropdown has been added to the Team Member Profile Settings, allowing users to set a status as Active (default), Inactive, or Prospect. Selecting a status automatically moves the user to the appropriate tab on the Team List Page, with Active users remaining in the Clients tab, Inactive users moving to the Inactive tab, and Prospects now appearing in a separate Prospects tab, which has the same columns and structure as the Team tab for consistency.

Bug Fixes

  • Corrected typographical errors in the Physical Needs Assessment, Financial Needs Assessment, and Ethnic Types.
  • The save and exit behaviour for incident and safeguarding detail views has been improved. After saving, users are now redirected to the Incident/Safeguarding list page, a toast notification is displayed instead of a banner for confirmation, and the "Cancel" button text is updated to "Exit" for clarity.
  • Users can now manually checkout of future events in Support Plans with the option to leave a note and edit any future events that have not been checked out of, regardless of schedule changes.
  • The Save and Return button in the Care Needs Assessment now saves the input of the current question, ensuring no data is lost when navigating away.
  • Users can now remove carers from a support activity by dragging it to the Unassigned Activities row in the calendar. If there is only one carer, they are removed immediately, but if multiple carers are assigned, a confirmation message will appear before unassigning them.
  • When a carer is removed from a recurring support activity, the activity will now correctly move to Unassigned Activities instead of remaining on the carer’s schedule when applying changes to "This and following events."
  • Users can now edit dates on past events without issues. The "Past Event Status" field will no longer be blank but will retain the existing status (Overdue or Completed), ensuring that users can update the event date without affecting its recorded status.
  • The Emergency Contact text has been removed from the support recipient profile view, as there was no field or functionality to input or manage emergency contacts. Users can now use the Key Contacts section to add and manage emergency contacts instead.
  • The Title field in the support recipient profile is now optional, allowing users to save profiles without requiring this field. Additionally, any entered title will now be properly retained upon saving.
  • All sub-fields in the add/edit Allergy section are now optional, allowing users to record allergy information without requiring all fields to be filled.
  • Inactive team members will no longer appear in the Schedule Calendar, the Choose Carer step in Support Activity Creation, or the Schedule Filter List. Any upcoming events or support activities assigned to an inactive team member will now be automatically unassigned. Additionally, inactive team members will no longer be able to log in to their Elate profile, ensuring they no longer have access to the system.
  • Overdue medications that have not been recorded (Missed, Refused, or Not Administered) now have a distinct status indicator. The status symbol for overdue, unrecorded medications has been changed to amber, making it easier to differentiate from recorded medication statuses.
